Initial contact
Give us a call and we can arrange an appointment
MIAM
Once you have spoken with us, you will be asked to attend a Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting where you can discuss your circumstances. A legal aid assessment will take place to see if you can receive your MIAM and mediation for free or at a reduced rate.
First mediation session
Once an MIAM has taken place, whether together or separately, the first session lays down the ground rules and we tell you the principles of mediation. The mediator establishes what both of you want and looks for common ground and discussions can begin.
Further mediation sessions
The second and further mediation sessions will look at financial issues, child arrangements, and any other issues that need to be discussed.
Legal advice
You are welcome to access legal advice throughout the mediation process if it is necessary.
Outcome
You will hopefully come to an agreement, which can help all parties come to a satisfactory conclusion.
If you are interested in starting the mediation process, feel free to get in touch
